Julian Bass, 20, enjoyed a whirlwind few weeks after one of his visual effects videos, posted on TikTok in early July, achieved viral fame and caught the attention of some of the biggest names in Hollywood.

The clip features Bass using his self-taught VFX skills to transform into Jedi knights and various Marvel superheroes, and he later shared it on Twitter with the caption ‘If y’all can retweet this enough times that Disney calls, that’d be greatly appreciated’. Within a week he’d had over 23 million views, received plaudits from several A-list actors and directors, and Disney boss Bob Iger tweeted him, saying ‘The world’s gonna know your name!’. He’s since signed to ICM Partners and been interviewed by publications including TIME Magazine, and been described as a ‘VFX Wunderkind’ by Deadline.
